That’s a great video. It timely, too. I just started working on my chipping in my rec room this week. Thanks, Monte.
Nice video Monte! Just a question on the follow-through motion – I saw there’s no mention of keeping the left wrist from breaking. Is that to prevent any forced manipulation just to maintain a golf position?
I don’t like any kind of action that requires you to force a position with your hands. I prefer to fix the motion that forces the hands into something bad.
It has been my experience…even with myself…that “trying to keep the left wrist from breaking,” gets the hands involved too much and messes with a smooth release and contact.
Thanks for the video Monte.
Again, you’ve simplified something I’ve managed to make complex.
I’m enjoying the hell out of your site.
Thank you colby.
I must admit I stared at the timer of the Youtube vid saying to myself, dammit only 30 secs left, get deeper into matter Cargoman. When the movie was over I realized, there is no deeper, that’s all.
Getting deeper gets you deeper into bogeys and double bogeys.
Very useful video! This is the first time I’ve heard of anyone advocating a forward spine tilt when chipping. Everyone says to keep the weight on the forward leg, but the spine tilt is new to me. I know some people will say it is the same thing, but it is different. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
That is what I meant with there is no deeper. Pandoras box closed again.
