The debate is not that lifting the heel is the miracle cure.
The debate is a lot of modern players limit their hip turn in the backswing, as they grew up in the forced X factor era.

While many of them make it work, it’s not optimal for regular Joe’s.  It’s really not optimal for anyone to forcibly restrict the hip turn, but that’s another rant.

It’s not about the heel, it’s about not forcing the heel down if it limits hip turn…and allowing your body to make your maximum range of motion “correct” hip turn…and most will lift heel as a result.

Correct hip turn would be perpendicular to the spine and not too flat, keeping a semi centered pelvis and not getting too much toward the target and locking out right knee…etc.
